Route 3 Accident Today WEYMOUTH, Mass. — Massachusetts State Police are investigating a multi-vehicle collision on Route 3 southbound that occurred early today and resulted in one fatality, authorities confirmed.

State Police said troopers from the Norwell Barracks responded around 5:10 a.m. to reports of a three-vehicle crash near Exit 38B on Route 3. The collision involved a 2014 Mazda CX-5, a 2016 Smart Fortwo and a 2011 Chevrolet Trailblazer.

The operator of the Mazda, a 40-year-old man, was transported to South Shore Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said. Officials have not released his identity pending family notification.

Dilraj Singh Gill BURNABY, B.C. — The community is reeling after the tragic death of Dilraj Singh Gill, 28, who was shot and killed in Burnaby on January 22, 2026, in what police are describing as a targeted and gang-related incident. Shortly before 5:30 p.m., Burnaby RCMP responded to reports of gunfire near the 3700 block of Canada Way and located Gill suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A short time later, police found a burning vehicle in the 5000 block of Buxton Street, which investigators believe is connected to the homicide.
